SAP Developer

• Analyze business needs, write technical specifications, develop software solutions to satisfy business requirements.  Insure that solutions are fully tested and documented and achieves schedule and quality targets for assigned projects.
• Primarily support software development required to enhance the functionality of the SAP system including interactions with other related non-SAP business systems.
• Work with users and business system specialists to identify, define, and implement business process improvements.
• Work effectively with other SAP team members and system users on business system issues requiring cross-SAP module integration or SAP interaction with other related business information systems.
• Research relevant new technology and solutions.

Required Skills

• Expert knowledge of required SAP software development tools including ABAP language and other related tools and features; including object-oriented and interface programming.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills required for discussing complex business processes.  Fluent in English language; German language fluency is desirable.
• Analytical skills to enable root cause analysis.
• Ability to be effective working as a team member in a team environment (flexibility, cooperation).
• Able to be self-directed and work independently.

Required Experience

• Current experience in an equivalent role performing software development in an SAP system (3 years minimum or SAP certification).
• Experience with and understanding of relevant business processes typical for a discrete manufacturing company using make-to-order/engineer-to-order strategies. (3 years minimum)
• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science.
• 3-5 years recent ABAP development experience, writing, debugging & enhancing ABAP programs
• 1-2 years experience writing ABAP code for any of the following functional modules:
  • MM, PP, PS, FI/CO, Quality, SD
  • SAP Script experience
  • 4.7 minimum, but ECC 6.0 or greater preferred
  • Must be well organized and self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision
